Software Testing Project Manager

Main Responsibilities:


  1. Lead, coach and mentor a team, or teams, software testers through the Software Development Life Cycle process and best practices.
    • Manage the software testing schedules.
    • Work with team to plan and execute on projects.
    • Ensure, and create as needed, software testing processes, best practices and operations to ensure high quality, while keeping costs under control.
    • Provide leadership and guidance to coach, motivate, and lead team members to their optimum performance levels and career development.
    • Manage and mentor the performance of all team members.
    • Help testers resolve technical problems, track and approve vacation days for employees within the teams and monitor individual employee’s performance and relay this to upper management.
  2. Manage relationships and communication with business stakeholders/partners and other technology implementation groups.
    • Ensure that test plans are well documented and communicated.
    • Provide sound decision making risks and mitigations, sensitive to the constraints and needs of the business.
  3. Set and drive technical vision and direction of the team(s).
    • Keep abreast of new technologies and how they might solve technical or business problems.
    • Identify, research, and where needed, adopt new technologies and products.
    • Collaborate with peers to ensure consistent use of technologies across Software Development and Testing organization.
  4. Identify, minimize and mitigate risks around data/system security, stability, performance/scalability, and sustainability/maintainability.
  5. Provide options and recommendation on use of technology to meet needed business requirements.
  6. Create and execute project plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
  7. Develop and execute software testing plans, and manage software testing schedules, resource allocation and budget.
  8. Track and report the status of projects on various teams, acting as a gateway through which work should be assigned to appropriate teams while ensuring that project scope is adequately defined.
  9. Demonstrate leadership abilities to senior management team and our clients.

Qualification Requirements:

  1. At least 5 years related working experience with strong software testing background, which includes 2+ years of project management experience.
  2. BS in technical discipline, Computer Science preferred.
  3. Proficient in using and installing multiple OS systems and Databases.
  4. Strong customer service, communication and problem-solving skills.
  5. Strong interpersonal, organizational and leadership skills.
  6. Strong written and oral communication skills.
  7. Ability to work under pressure in a deadline-driven environment.
  8. Overseas work experience is a plus.

Junior Software Testing Engineer

Main Responsibilities:


  1. Be able to adapt to rapidly changing business needs and to function in a disciplined/methodical manner while working in an increasingly structured and standardized environment.
  2. Create and execute Test Cases based on Use Cases, Requirements, and design meetings.
  3. Have good understanding of system design and debug processes.
  4. Be able to document system problems.
  5. Have knowledge and experience with operating systems, databases and application servers.
  6. Must be a Team Player, highly motivated to improve, accept guidance and mentoring, and require minimal supervision.

Qualification Requirements


  1. 2+ years of hands-on experience within software development and/or software testing.
  2. BS in Computer Science, Software Development or Software Testing, or equivalent.
  3. Knowledge of software testing and methodologies.
  4. Proficient in using and installing multiple OS environments, such as Windows, Unix/Linux, Solaris and/or AIX.
  5. Knowledgeable in client-server concepts and network concepts in order to troubleshoot installing and configuring test environments.
  6. Familiar with installing and configuring databases including SQL Server, Oracle and DB2.
  7. Clear thinking, strong problem analysis and solving ability.
  8. Quick learning ability in new technologies, tools and testing knowledge.
  9. Good communication skills, both oral and written.
  10. Good interpersonal skills.
  11. Able to work independently or as part of a team.
  12. Proficient in using common testing tools such as SilkTest, LoadRunner, QTP, and VS2010.
  13. Development experience is preferred.
